Who; Sam, Tony, and JARVIS
When; April(?)
Where; Avengers (Stark)) Tower
What; JARVIS is trying out being human. Tron style.
Warnings Doubtful? Physics and/or programming BS
Closed
Sam checked and rechecked his little phone. The laser controls were slaved to an app running through a couple of the old Encom server slices, to a Stark industries server circa 1998 ( which was the best Sam and Tony could do on compatibility ) to, funny enough, an industrial strength robotic arm that had originally been intended to save workers from having to work long hours on hellfire missiles. It's original function now rendered moot twice over, the computer that powered it still had a wholly unforeseen use as Sam had navigated his way through a Stark system from the other side of the screen, and ended up putting it all together once the laser was flown in from LA.
Sure it had taken a while, but it was totally worth it. Sam had been over this entire process so many times, he could recite it backwards and forwards. Hell, he'd been digitized enough, it was a wonder he didn't sneeze pixels. All that was left, this time around, is for JARVIS to step into the Portal with him this time.
Sam still checked his phone a third time.

He'd lasted years with one in his own chest, after all.
"Let's ask the man himself. Jarvis, are you having any difficulty breathing? Does your chest hurt at all?"

Date: 2015-05-24 09:00 pm (UTC)His fascination with the blanket took him out of the conversation for a few minutes as they discussed the reactor image on his chest, and whether or not it was detrimental to him.
Finally he looked up as Sam asked if it hurt, and then Tony asking pretty much the same thing.
"No, I believe everything is in order. Perhaps we should do a physical to see if it's true?" Jarvis put a hand to his chest, trying to feel what was a human heartbeat underneath it. It was warm, pulsing to continue his existence in this form as he stood there covered in a soft blanket and the remains of his Grid suit on his legs.

Date: 2015-05-25 04:30 am (UTC)Sam still sounded dubious, but went ahead and checked his phone, it was Quorra.
"I'll be back."
Though when he does come back it's with boxes stacked pall the way to his chin, and the string handles of bags all along both arms. And this is just the first trip.
It's way over the top, and Sam had the sneaking suspicion that as soon as Q walked in, she told some salesperson she had no idea what to get, and she just bought everything in the right size the oh-so-friendly sales people showed her.
Sam dreaded what his statement was going to look like,

Date: 2015-06-03 01:57 pm (UTC)"Easier to do a physical upstairs where the actual medical bay is," Tony said absently. While Sam was upstairs, he divested Jarvis of the remains of his rubber Gridsuit and put his pocket knife away. Standing up and stepping back, he looked Jarvis over, a hint of the pride and wonder of having his AI stand in front of him coming back to his expression.
"You like that blanket? Okay, so soft and warm for clothes. That's - wow, Sam, did she buy out the store?"

Date: 2015-06-04 03:08 am (UTC)That and he had seen Sir enough times through a computer lens as an AI to not really mind nudity.
The blanket is picked back up and held to his chest like a kid with his comforting blanket and regarding Tony with his own awed expression.
Now that the anxiety and panic of being a human had passed, it was... different to see Tony like this, without the aid of a computer's camera. In fact, he leans in close to get a better look... then Tony looks to Sam as the other comes down with bags weighed on both arms.
He straightens up, still holding the blanket, and watches Sam and Tony's interactions about the purchases. "I wish she hadn't - I didn't want to be too much trouble..."
In fact, if one of them had told Jarvis he'd be fine just wrapping the blanket around his waist, he'd probably settle for that. Until he figured out he couldn't do his normal duties with it's interference that is.

Date: 2015-06-04 06:20 am (UTC)After the second armload that looked pretty much like the first, the tips of Sam's ears were turning pink by proxy. He was embarrassed by how much Quorra got, and possibly a tiny bit unsettled. Not by the nudity thing, because lets face it, there's nothing there he hadn't seen in the mirror before. It was the vulnerability of holding the blanket to his chest like that. So that was disturbing. And Sam was going to keep his eyes pointedly on the bags and boxes.
"Pffft. Yeah, right, you try telling Quorra she 'doesn't need to'or that 'you don't want to be a bother' and see how well that goes for you. Anyway she may just have bought the whole store? There's some teal and white in here...unless you're sticking with the blanket."
Yes he's teasing, but Sam still hasn't looked up yet, He's been too busy fishing a plastic-sealed bag of boxers, another of socks, then hesitating over what clothes...
