Now, though, you're finally ready to be sexually intimate.

☆ Differences: The two of you are different enough - perhaps even different species - that intimacy may be an issue, but you're ready to attack it head on.
☆ Taken: You aren't "together," and one of you is involved with someone else. This is the big decision to do an act that may be viewed as heinous.
☆ Forbidden: There's been no sexual contact because it's utterly forbidden, be it incest, class difference, enemies, etc.

④ the weather's not going to stop you. your snow fort's packed full of ammo and ready to go. those aren't snow angels over there; they mark where the poor souls you've downed have fallen. be careful with that snowman's head!!

It starts out, well, innocently enough. They're pure, untainted, a light that's yet to be touched by this world. Somehow, you feel the need to keep them that way, conscious realization or not, no matter how that seems to go against your jaded character and bitter heart. But maybe those things areyour reason. You've been beaten down by the foul weather of this world; they shouldn't have to suffer that same fate. There needs to be someone good left, somewhere. It's a rare comforting thought.

Your feelings are platonic, at the beginning. Then, their light and their infectious idealism begin to touch you, in a way you thought wasn't possible anymore.

Work. Sleep. Fight. Eat. War. Peace. Light. Dark. Stay - no, go. Leave, move, move, move.

It seems like our lives are nothing but movement at a breakneck speed, a whirling and twirling of both positive and negative. Whether we're good, whether we're evil, we're doing something and there's no getting off this sick cycle carousel. But we want to, and sometimes, every once in a while we can find our escape through someone else.

It's the first time - for you, for them, for both, for you together. In some time, perhaps, or maybe it isn't even the first time, it merely feels that way because it's so refreshing to you. Because you love them; at the very least, you care about them enough to want to not hurry things. You could care about what they can give you, and that's release and the ability to stop thinking of anything but this very moment. Not your duties. Not your adventure. Not even your wedding night, if that's what this is. For now, there's no parade, no appearances to keep up, no training to be done. After you are patched up from the day's business (in some cases, literally), you can focus on offering yourself to them, giving attention and pleasure and receiving it in kind...or only receiving, if you are more selfish and your partner more selfless.

For whatever reason, the floor is an unacceptable place to sleep. It's messy, the dog is there, THE FLOOR IS LAVA, there's flooding, or it's too dirty to walk on. Who cares why it's not acceptable, it just isn't! Normally, that's not an issue, but tonight you have a friend over. Maybe it's the safest place, maybe it's hurricane season and your house is the only one out of the path of the storm. Are they mooching off you? Stop trying to figure out the details! Just get over it and share the bed with that person! Sexy times are not required. Intimacy is not required. Just share the damn bed already.

Because sometimes, you want to play out goofy, absolutely adorable adoration no matter your character.

You don't have a crush. You're not in love. But you wish you had either of those things, because they're the lesser of all evils. Instead, you have it oh so bad. You're smitten, kitten. Why, every little thing this special person does is magic! Their looks, their personality, their smile - or lack thereof - are the most beautiful you've ever seen. And maybe they're even nice to you when you totally don't deserve it! Whether your acquaintances would describe you as "soft-hearted" or "hard-ass pain in my ass," there's hardly been one as taken as you. Just looking at them makes you weak at the knees, and you think those butterflies in your stomach may be staging a revolt.

One of the best parts of having a boyfriend, girlfriend, lover, crush, or mutual-feels-sharer is that you also have an almost-guaranteed cuddle buddy. From the bubbly butterflies to the most sullen of assholes, pretty much everyone wants affectionate contact sometimes, so whether it be laying your head on your partner's lap, holding their hand, falling asleep on them, bumping foreheads, snuggling close and tucking yourself under their chin, or even just touching shoulders, don't fight the urge! Hug it out.

In public, in private, on a date, watching a movie, riding along on the back of a dragon, it doesn't matter where you are. Or maybe it does to you, but the benefits of being close absolutely outweigh the risks.

Take your time, too, especially if you're not used to this sort of intimacy. Cuddling doesn't have a shelf life!
